During a match in Anfield against Fulham, Fernando Torres scored from a solo effort to save Liverpool. There is no doubt that Fernando Torres is the most natural scorer and his abilities in front of goal he has got to be playing all the time when fit.

In the cameo appearance against Fulham the Spaniard showed the quality that prompted Rafa Benitez to go out and buy him.

There seemed little on when Pepe Reina’s pass down ield found the striker.

But the way in which he controlled the ball on his chest, completely wrong footing two defenders, and then took the ball on to coolly slot past the stranded goalkeeper was magnificent.

The Reds need a regular scorer on the pitch. He is the man.
